‘hana’re / AGC Glass Pavilion

EN / JP

Our pavilion design won the top prize in the "U-35 Glass Architecture Competition," hosted by AGCxAAF, and was chosen to be built at full scale and exhibited at the AGC Studio. The proposal is a curving, dynamic glass curtain that uses 0.55mm Leoflex glass. The project proposes a new way of using glass and points toward the potential of designing apertures in architecture. The movement of the structure creates patterns of light refracting through the varying layers of glass, and the curvature of the glass also showcases the material's reflective properties. The design intention is that this piece creates a space where a diverse array of light effects can be experienced.
