Interior design for fashion brand Christian Dada's first overseas flagship store, located in Singapore. Our concept for the shop was the Japanese rock garden, also incorporating an image of the designer's roots: the islands of the Seto Inland Sea. The rock-like volumes comprising the interior landscape function as display cases, vitrines, sofas, and mirrors. For materials, we chose aluminum plates punctured with patterns that evoke a rock texture. The floor and ceiling of the shop are a stark white and the facade is entirely glass, making the shop itself feel like a giant display case. The black volumes, placed deliberately throughout the space, invite customers to move between the "islands" and enjoy a relaxed shopping experience.
